Godzilla: Strike Zone is a thrilling free-to-play action shooter game, courtesy of Warner Brothers. This title combines first-person shooter mechanics with iconic movie references. The player takes on the role of a member of an exceptional military squad, navigating through destroyed cityscapes and coming nose-to-nose with the King of Monsters himself.

Full-On 3D Adventure

Godzilla: Strike Zone is a full 3D game carrying the mission of dodging airborne cars, fire, debris, and the behemoth details of Godzilla’s trampling footsteps. Its blend of action and running escapade sends reminiscences of popular games like Into the Dead or DEAD TRIGGER 2: Zombie Game FPS Shooter.

Saving Civilians and Escaping the Beast

The game commences with an atmospheric soundtrack and impressive graphics, immersing players into its world from the get-go. Although animation might lag on lower-end devices, the visuals are detailed and immersive on adequate hardware. Its audio experience is comparable to the blockbuster 2019 film, Godzilla: King of the Monsters, emanating an immersive and foreboding atmosphere.

The controls are intuitive, resembling a striped-down version of Call of Duty: Mobile with a joystick on the left for movement and action buttons on the right. While the controls are responsive, the animation could use some improvement as objects often pass through each other, and cutscenes can be jittery.

However, the game is not without its shortcomings. The gameplay feels frustratingly short. Despite the exciting premise of rescuing civilians, defusing explosives, and dodging Godzilla, the entire game can be completed in short of 15 minutes, leaving one yearning for more content and questioning the replayability value.

Quick and Explosive Action

Despite the short runtime, Godzilla: Strike Zone still delivers a fun and fast-paced experience. Fans of the Godzilla franchise as well as casual players looking for quick military-style action will find it up to the mark. The remarkable graphics and soundtrack, coupled with its easy touchscreen control scheme, make it easier to overlook the minor animation issues. Overall, Godzilla: Strike Zone is a short but adrenaline-pumping game, definitely worth a shot.
